Free Weight Exercise Room

Members 14 years old (that have been certified) and older also have unrestricted use of the free weight room. The YMCA has a nice selection of:

  • Dumbbells ranging in weights from 5 lbs. to 100 lbs.
  • Squat cage,
  • Smith machine
  • Multiple benches (including both incline and decline)
  • Cable cross over
  • Pec Deck with reverse fly
  • Preacher curl
  • Glute Ham stand,
  • Abdominal stand
  • Chin dip
  • Leg press machine
  • Hammer Strength
  • and many others!

You can set up an appointment with a YMCA fitness specialist to design an exercise program to meet your fitness goals.

Cybex Exercise Room

Members age 14 years old (that have been certified by a Y fitness specialist)  and older enjoy full use of Cybex resistance training equipment. 14 pieces of equipment target various muscle groups to provide an all over body workout.

Cardio Equipment

Our Fitness Room includes:

  • 10 treadmills
  • 8 elliptical machines
  • 2 recumbent bicycles
  • 2 steppers
  • 4 ARC trainers
  • 2 Stairmasters

Eight televisions with cardio theater help to pass the time as you run, walk, step or bicycle your way to a healthier you!

Personal Training

Personal exercise sessions to help educate, motivate and train new and current members. Sign up for sessions with Fitness Staff at ext. 110, or fitness@gbgymca.org.

Pools

Main Pool

6 lanes 25 yards 3 .5 ft. to 10 ft.  approximately 84 degrees. Removable steps to climb in and out if need be or use one of the 4  ladders.

Warm Pool

40 by 60 ft 3 .5 ft. all around depth, approximately 89 degrees. Chair lift if needed or use one of 2 ladders to enter/exit pool.

Jaccuzzi

A 5 foot 101 degrees tub with jets for soothing sore muscles. Seven Steps to climb into and exit the jaccuzzi.
