Pre-K Head Teacher
Full time position opened for a Pre -K Head Teacher. Under the direction of the ECLC Director, the Head Teacher will be responsible for the development and implementation of the daily activities and routines for a single classroom based on the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale and PA Early Learning Standards. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with 30 Early Childhood Education credits and one year (1250 clock hours) experience working with children OR Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university with 60/65 credits including 30 Early Childhood Education credits and three years experience working with children. Background checks (Act 33 & 34, FBI), Health Assessment and Tuberculin test required.
Case Managers
New full time positions opened for Case Managers in a Day Program for adults with disabilities. Experience working with adults who are physically and/or intellectually challenged required; knowledge to independently train consumers in all areas of independent living skills; provide instruction and assistance for individuals while training; must have the ability to establish and maintain effective communication with consumers and to recognize their strengths, needs, likes, and dislikes. Some community integration required. Must have first aid/CPR certification, blood borne pathogens training, background checks (Act 33 & 34, FBI), high school diploma or equivalent education and a valid PA driver’s license.
Lifeguard/Instructor
The Lifeguard/Instructor will be responsible for maintaining safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding pool areas. Create a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes swimmer safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Dedicated, enthusiastic individual who enjoys people of all ages. Qualifications include lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR certification. This is a part-time position.
Massage Therapist
The Massage Therapist is responsible for the delivery and quality of massages and creating a healthy stress free environment for relaxing. Table and supplies are provided by the YMCA. Experience is required. This is a part-time position.
Assistant Group Supervisor
The Assistant Group Supervisor interacts with and provides supervision of children, ages 6 weeks-6 yrs. Must be enthusiastic, caring, and energetic. Candidates must be working toward their Early Childhood degree and have at least two years experience in childcare. This is a part-time position working 32-38 hours per week.
Gymnastics Instructor
Part-time position currently available for a Gymnastics Instructor. Individual will be responsible for the training and instruction of participants in gymnastics in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards established by the Greensburg YMCA. Looking for a team oriented individual who can demonstrate high energy; strong communication skills and maintain sanitation and safety. High School diploma and some gymnastics experience required.
Maintenance/Janitor
Maintenance position will be responsible for performing maintenance duties, repairs, installations, inspections and janitorial duties according to local, state, federal regulations and YMCA standards. High school diploma or GED and three years related experience required.
Dance Instructor
Part-time position currently available for a Dance Instructor. Seeking an ambitious individual interested in leading a dance program with experience in tap, ballet, and jazz. Will be responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of the dance program for participants in accordance with the policies and philosophies of the YMCA. Will develop and implement dance curriculum, prepare, plan and develop dance lesson plans that are age appropriate and consistent with the mission of the YMCA. Integrate Character Development values (caring, responsibility, respect, and honesty) into curriculum and interaction with children, staff and parents and be a role model with those values. Maintain open lines of communication with staff, parents, participants and supervisor. High School Diploma and must have at least three years of dance experience. Background checks will be required.
Control
Part-time position currently available for a Control person. Seeking energetic individuals to ensure the safety and security of the Greensburg YMCA building and grounds. Must have exceptional customer service and people skills and enjoy interacting with the public. This position is responsible for the overall supervision of the YMCA building and grounds. The incumbent engages members of the YMCA in an effort to help them reach their membership’s fullest potential and assist them in feeling “connected” to their YMCA by ensuring control in the building, providing safe environment and enforcing member code of conduct and safety standards. High School Diploma /College Degree or older preferred. Background checks required.
