LIFEGUARD I

Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility. Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Instructs quality lessons when assigned. Ability to perform lifeguarding performance, scanning & rescues.

RATE OF PAY: $7.25 – $8.00 /hr

HOURS PER WEEK:  5-15 hrs (part time)  morning, day & evening shifts

REQUIREMENTS: Red Cross Lifeguard Certification/First Aid/CPR

FITNESS INSTRUCTORS

Plan physical and age appropriate activities to involve members into different methods of reaching physical and fitness goals. Follow and enforce policies, procedures and guidelines with emphasis on the YMCA Mission. Provide fun, exciting & enjoyable fitness atmosphere for our participants.

RATE OF PAY: $15- $18/hr dependent upon certifications

HOURS PER WEEK: 5-10 hrs (part time)

- Immediate Need – SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE SITE DIRECTOR

Plans, develops and monitors programs budget. Recruit, interview, select, train, and develop employees to ensure a stable, efficient and quality workforce is available. Monitor staff performance to ensure performance standards are met. Conduct performance reviews, and corrective action. Administer safety compliance and communicate to employees. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff in a manner that promotes a team spirit and a sense of cooperation. Plan, schedule and facilitate monthly staff meetings various fund raising events. Develop and maintain collaborative relationship with parents, other community organizations and customers. Establish new program activities and expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans. Coordinating and planning daily activities with the group supervisors or with the assistant group supervisors in school age program. Other duties as assigned.

RATE OF PAY: $9- $10/Hr (based on experience &/or education) + voluntary benefits

- Immediate Need – SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE SITE SUPERVISOR

Assisting the director with designated activities, administrative and/or supervisory duties. Acts as a role model for the children and the staff at all times. Attends all mandatory training before school year and during school year. Complete six additional credit hours in child care training courses per year. Use positive discipline techniques. Communicates with parents, written and oral. Supervises Assistant Group Supervisor and Aides in absence of Site Director. Other duties may be assigned.

RATE OF PAY: $8- $9/Hr + voluntary benefits

HOURS PER WEEK: 25-30 hrs/wk part time

- Immediate Need -  Lifestyle Coach:YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program

Responsibilities: Will serve as facilitators by implementing the standard curriculum in an effective, compelling way and supporting and guiding participants in the program which consists of 16 one-hour weekly sessions, followed by eight one-hour monthly sessions. Opportunities will be ongoing.  Must maintain at least one program cohort per year. Coaches are responsible for recording weekly participant data that includes attendance, weight, physical activity and food tracker maintenance.

RATE OF PAY:   $12.50 /hr

HOURS:  3 hrs/week (variable)

REQUIREMENTS: HS Diploma or GED+ basic knowledge of health, nutrition & fitness       

Must pass a two day training ($7.25/hr rate),attend a 2 hr. web-based software training& a 30-minute web-based HIPAA training.

- Immediate Need -  Welcome Center Attendant

The Welcome Center Attendant greets all members/potential members and guests. Communicates and promotes all YMCA programs, activities and services. Conducts tours, processes paperwork and enters data into the membership database. Handles all incoming and outgoing phone calls, maintains cash drawer and processes membership changes. High school diploma or GED, multitasking and customer service experience required. Hours vary early mornings, nights and weekends. This is a part-time position with a pay range of $8.00 – $10.00 per hour based on experience.  Voluntary benefits available.

- Immediate Need -  Adult Training Facility  -  Case Manager

Responsibilities: Daily care, training, and supervision of adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities. Must have knowledge and comply with all standards related to the maintenance and prevention of health and safety issues. One case manager must be present for every six individuals while at the facility, but also a one on one position may be assigned.

RATE OF PAY:  $10.00 – $13.00/Hr based on experience + voluntary benefits

HOURS PER WEEK: 32.5

REQUIREMENTS: HS Diploma or GED + 1 year experience in Human Services preferred

Responsibilities: Perform routine building cleaning under supervision, including trash removal; mopping, stripping, buffing of floors; window cleaning; dusting, dust-mopping, sweeping; furniture polishing; periodic pressure cleaning; cleaning carpets, vents, machines. Upkeep of the exterior of the building & grounds. Other duties as assigned.

RATE OF PAY: $7.50 – $8.00/Hr + voluntary benefits
