ALL GROUP CLASSES ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR GREENSBURG YMCA MEMBERSHIP

We offer exciting group exercise classes here at the Greensburg Y.  We challenge our members to come to experience the world of group exercise to enhance their wellness experience here at the Greensburg Y.  For more information about group exercises, please contact info@greensburgymca.org  or call 724-834-0150.

Busy Beginners Full Body Instructional Training Course

Tuesdays 6:30 – 7:00 pm

Thursdays: 10:30 – 11:00 am

 

Studio A

Three – 30-minute training sessions to strengthen, tone, and burn calories. Tuesday classes: May 7, May 14, May 21. Thursday Classes:  May 9, May 16, May 23.

Sign up for either Tuesday or Thursday classes, or both.  Can not mix and match 3 pack sessions.

Move, groove, and sweat in this upbeat class that feels more like fun than fitness. Join us for a lively session where every move is a celebration of movement and community. Let’s dance our way to health and happiness together!

Healthy for Life Class

Mon/Wed/Fri in March 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

Come move your bodies in a variety of exercises designed to help us age gracefully and stay healthy for life. All ability levels are welcome.

Spirit Flow Yoga

Tuesdays & Thursdays: 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Studio A

This class will encourage physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. We will include Yin and Restorative Yoga as well as a gentle flow.  Meditation will also be incorporated to slow down and bring breath, a divine encounter, and mindfulness back into your daily life.

Cycle

To reserve your bike for a class please call 724.834.0150 or reserve at the front desk. 

Greensburg YMCA members can reserve bikes for cycle classes 24 hours prior and up to one hour before the start of class.

Bikes will be open to non-members one hour before class on a first-come-first-served basis. Everyone who wishes to attend class must reserve a bike and check in at the Welcome Center. You must claim your bike at least five minutes before the start of class, or it will be released to those waiting.

Studio B

This class has our very own “spinologists” who take you through intervals, rolling hills, sprints, climbs, and runs with surges of music hand-picked to motivate and inspire! This is a great workout if you want to burn calories, and increase endurance, and is for patrons of any level of experience.

LES MILLS FITNESS CLASSES

Studio A

Les Mills BODYFLOW: A yoga-based class blending elements of Tai Chi and Pilates, enhances your overall well-being with a soothing soundtrack, and breath-focused exercises, leaving you feeling strengthened, calm, and centered.

Les Mills BODYPUMP & BODYPUMP Express: A barbell class,  that sculpts, tones, and strengthens your entire body rapidly using THE REP EFFECT™ formula—low weight loads, high repetition movements, resulting in efficient fat burning, strength gain, and lean muscle conditioning. Original is 55 minutes while the Express class is just 30 minutes 

Les Mills GRIT: A 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, that combines barbell, weight plate, and body weight exercises to improve strength, build lean muscle, and achieve fast fitness results with the guidance of motivational coaches and powerful music.

Silver and Fit Experience: The class is designed to increase the participant’s flexibility, joint stability, dynamic balance, coordination, agility, reaction time, muscular strength, power, and cardiovascular endurance.

The Greensburg YMCA is very excited to announce that we are a provider of Silver and Fit, Active and Fit, and Silver Sneakers.  Insurance holders membership fees will be paid by the insurance provider. The classes listed below are also offered free to private paying members. The Greensburg YMCA offers a variety of intensity levels of group exercise classes to suit the needs of all members.
