Greensburg YMCA Hosting Tots Variety Sports Program
GREENSBURG — Area toddlers have an opportunity to engage in a variety of sports as part of the Greensburg YMCA’s Tots Variety Sports program, running Aug. 8-31, in the Y gymnasium.
The 4-week program, for ages 2-4, allows children to participate in a different sport each week focusing on the fundamental skills of each traditional sport such as kickball, volleyball, basketball, and also including some of “The Classic” toddler games, in a fun, friendly environment. The program runs either Monday or Wednesday evenings from 5:45-6:30 p.m. When registering, parent must pick one night for their child to attend.
“Our Tots programs have long been a staple at the YMCA and the Variety program offers coaching and fun in a handful of different sports,” said Scott Brown, director of sports and wellness. “The Classics will include games that every kid loves to play. It will be a great environment for learning and fun.”
Registration is available on-line at www.greensburgymca.org. Deadline for registration is Friday, August 5. Cost is $65 for members and $70 for non-members.
