Capital Campaign

The Greensburg YMCA is focused on the future, making strategic investments to improve community impact. In January 2014, the Greensburg YMCA partnered with the YMCA of the USA to develop a comprehensive Facilities Revitalization and Reutilization Plan to help us better serve the needs of the community. To date, nearly $1.5 million has been raised and invested into renovations. With this initial phase completed, we are now ready to embark on the final phases of the Plan by beginning the locker rooms and first floor renovations.

We are now looking to complete the Plan, which will increase our functionality, in three phases.

Through continuing our fundraising efforts, we have received several foundation grants. Additionally, we recently received approval for a $625,000 award from Pennsylvania’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) and a generous $250,000 pledge from one of our leadership donors in support of the renovation. We are pleased to report that we have raised almost $1.3 million toward our campaign goal.

To complete the proposed renovation projects and ensure the continued growth of the Y, we must meet our goal of raising $2.3 million. Implementation of these plans will enable us to meet the demands of our members, allow for future membership growth, provide adequate and up-to-date facility space for programs and activities, and continue the Y’s positive impact in the local community.
