Dear Valued Y Member and Program Participants,

Thank you so much for your patience during these unprecedented times. We missed you! It’s been hard to be away from the people we care about but thank you for persevering and doing your part to stay safe and stop the spread of coronavirus.

Our Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) and Summer Camp programs will resume programming on Monday, June 1st at our Maple Avenue location and June 8th at our Unity Township site.  These programs were placed in the “Yellow Phase” of our Commonwealth’s re-opening plan, permitting them to resume earlier than our wellness offerings.  We look forward to welcoming our children back; we have missed them so much!

With Westmoreland County moving to the “Green Phase” on June 5th, we are finalizing our re-opening plans for membership, including our wellness and aquatics departments.  We have been working diligently to plan for re-opening, including modifying our policies, programs, and hours of operation to facilitate safe physical/social distancing practices in compliance with CDC guidelines.  We will unveil our re-opening plans to you on Wednesday, June 3rd.  We ask for your understanding and patience as we complete our trainings, respond to the latest guidelines, and finish finalizing our operations.

These have been trying times for our Y, and for you, and our community in general.  We hope you will choose to stay with us and continue to support our vital mission work in the community.  The way we’ll interact with each other will be different, but at our Y, you’ll always be able to connect with people, improve your health and wellness, nurture your children’s potential and help strengthen our community.

With a renewed and anticipatory spirit,
Suzanne Printz
Interim CEO
