Introducing Michelle Jones, a strategic force on the volleyball court, known for her prowess as a cold-blooded killer, despite her “mere” 5-foot-9 stature. Michelle’s legacy boasts an impressive 1,395 career kills, securing her third place on the all-time IUP list. As an outside hitter, she instilled fear in defenders as she rose to smash the ball, achieving remarkable single-season totals of 403 kills in 2004 and 389 in 2003, ranking 11th and 12th in IUP history.

Michelle’s impact extends beyond the court, as she holds impressive rankings in kills per set, hitting percentage, and season totals. Her journey with IUP was marked by outstanding seasons, contributing to the team’s 92-48 record during her tenure, with appearances in NCAA tournaments every season.

A proud graduate of IUP with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Small Business Management, Michelle continued to excel in her education. In 2010, she graduated from The Art Institute of Philadelphia with a degree in Fashion Design, and in 2020, she earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Ashford University.
