2024 SUMMER DAY CAMP THEMES
June 3-7 2024 SWEET SUMMER TREATS
Join us for a week of fun as we explore the week treats of summer time. Our field trip this week will be on Tuesday to McFeely’s Chocolate Shop.
June 10-14, 2024 H20 MANIA
Join us this week as we explore all things water related. We will be taking a trip to Round Hill Park on Tuesday.
June 17-21, 2024 WILDLIFE WONDERS
Join us for a week of excitement as we explore all the wonders that wildlife has to offer. We will be taking a field trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium on Tuesday.
June 24-28, 2024 GAME ON
Join us for a wild week as we explore all things gaming! We will explore board games, video games, and sports games! We will be hoping for strikes during out field trip on Tuesday to Main Bowling!
July 1-5, 2024 FLORAL FANTASY
We will be entering into a world of fantasy this week as we explore flowers and nature! We will be visiting the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens on Tuesday this week. ** Please note that we will not have camp on July 4, 2024 **
July 8-12, 2024 ANIMAL KINGDOM
Lions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My! The campers will be diving deep into the jungles this week! We will be taking a field trip to Trible B Farms on Tuesday this week.
July 15-19, 2024 SLIDING INTO SUMMER
We are going to have a blast this week as we slide through summer as we have offiically passed the half way mark. Time sure does fly when you are having fun! The field trip for this week will be to Mammoth Park.
July 22-26, 2024 ADVENTURE CAMP OLYMPICS
What better way to celebrate teamwork and sportsmanship than through Camp Olympic activities. We will also be showing sportsmanship as we cheer on the Washington Wild Things Baseball team for our field trip this week.
July 29 - August 2, 2024 COLORFUL CREATIONS
We can not wait to have an explosion of colors this week as we celebrate all the colors under the sun! As our field trip for this week the artists (campers) will be able to paint their own ceramics to take home.
August 5-9, 2024 TO INFINITY AND BEYOND
We will be traveling to infinity and beyond this week and exploring everything in between. We will be visiting the Carnegie Science Center on Tuesday for this weeks field trip.
August 12-16, 2024 BEACH BLAST
Who is ready to have a blast this week beach style? We will be visiting the Keystone State Park as our field trip this week.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
The Greensburg YMCA strives to never turn any child away due to the families’ inability to pay for programming. With that in mind we will accept two forms of assistance in defraying the costs of camp. One way is through the YMCA Annual Support Campaign. The YMCA is able to grant scholarships to families in need due to the generosity of local businesses and individuals who donate monies to the campaign. We encourage those who may not be able to afford camp services on their own to complete a Financial Assistance Application and submit it with your registration packet. Please allow up to four weeks for processing. Additionally both Adventure Camp and Sports Camp held at the Greensburg YMCA location accept payment from Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC). Families should contact ELRC of Westmoreland County to inquire if they are qualified (724-836-4580).
