MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR
RATE OF PAY: $14 (Part-time)
HOURS PER WEEK: 25 hours/week. Occasional weekends.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent is highly preferred. Three or more year’s related experience preferred. Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI Clearances, pre-employment physical and an onsite drug test. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and use legs to lift/move up to 25 lbs.
RESPONSIBILITIES: In conjunction with the Membership Director, the Membership Coordinator will assist in oversight of the Membership Department. The Membership Coordinator will complete administrative and membership assignments, including monthly reports, sales audits and clerical duties. This position coordinates communication and ensures that staff and the Department are operating as seamless as possible and providing excellent customer service. Provides oversight of Membership Department by ensuring that members and visitors follow Y policies and procedures (including code of conduct), are engaged and receiving excellent customer service. Membership gain loss reports on weekly basis. Evening and weekend availability is required.
WELCOME CENTER RECEPTION 1
RATE OF PAY: $11.00 (Part-time)
HOURS PER WEEK: Three shifts available each weekday. Must be flexible with scheduling. Morning opening shift begins at 5:15 am, daylight shift and afternoon/evening shift to end at 8:30 close. Occasional weekends.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED. Knowledge of computer programs such as Word, DOCS, and Excel. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Positive demeanor. Previous customer service experience preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform and provide excellent customer service by exceeding member expectations. Take initiative to build member engagement. Perform data entry, answer phones, file, direct guests, and provide facility tours. Handle small cash drawer. Maintain building secure entry. Promote YMCA programs.
CHILD WATCH ATTENDANT
RATE OF PAY: $10/hour (Part-time)
HOURS PER WEEK: Up to 20 hours per week.
REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or a general education development (GED) certificate. At least 18 years of age, Criminal clearances (Act 33), Child Abuse clearances (Act 34), FBI Clearances and passing of an on-site drug test. Must complete all required YMCA training certifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Child Watch Attendant will be responsible for supervising and engaging the children of our members while the adults enjoy the YMCA facility. The Child Watch Attendant will actively play and converse with the children as well as communicate with the parents before and after their time in the Child Watch Area.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and use legs to lift/move up to approximately 25 pounds.
SENIORS GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTOR
RATE OF PAY: $16.00/class, based on experience
HOURS PER WEEK: Varies (part time)
REQUIREMENTS: Must provide proof of certification or seek proof of certification with 30 days (Silver and Fit and Silver Sneakers Certification preferred). Must be energetic, dedicated, and motivated – someone who enjoys teaching fitness to older adults.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Seniors Group Exercise Instructor’s primary responsibility is to plan, organize and safely lead participants through any class. Must be able to provide a quality program while maintaining a safe environment for all participants as well as people observing the class. Must be able to work and perform all duties with limited supervision and endure members receive 100 percent attention to their fitness routine, goals, and achievements at the YMCA.
LIFEGUARD
RATE OF PAY: $11.00 per hour
HOURS PER WEEK: Varies (part time)
REQUIREMENTS: Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR Certification
RESPONSIBILITIES: A YMCA Lifeguard maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility. The Lifeguard must act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of all patrons in the event of emergency. Must provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Must be able to perform occasional maintenance duties as directed to help maintain a clean and safe facility. Must take and record all chlorine and PH readings (after instructed on the proper method). Must learn how to teach quality swim lessons as this may become part of his/her responsibilities. Must be able to demonstrate proper rescue techniques when asked. Perform any other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
SWIM LESSON INSTRUCTOR
RATE OF PAY: $11.00 / based on experience
HOURS PER WEEK: Varies (part time)
REQUIREMENTS: Lifeguard Certification within 3 months of hire date
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Swim Instructor is responsible for maintaining order in swimming classes and the pool area at all times. Primary responsibility is to plan, organize and safely lead participants through any swimming class. Must be comfortable teaching swimming skills to participants of various ages and backgrounds. Must be able to provide a quality program while maintaining a safe environment for all participants as well as people observing the class. Must be able to work and perform all duties with limited supervision.
